SUEC 2018 (27-29 April 2018)

The Sampoerna University is pleased to invite you to participate in the 2018 Sampoerna University English Competition (SUEC 2018). The competition will be held on 27 – 29 April 2018 at the Sampoerna University campus, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Indonesia. 

After successfully organized SU English Debate Championship (SUDC) in three consecutive years from 2014 and hosted participants from various regions in Indonesia, this year we are expanding the competition with three competition branches: Debate, Speech, and Newscasting. With the theme “Accelerate your Optimum”, SUEC 2018 is open for junior & senior high school students in Indonesia.

The CA of the Debate Championship is Rizky Akita (an UNDIP Alumna) who will be supported by a pool of adjudicators from various universities such as UI, BINUS, UGM, Atma Jaya, and IPB. 

For the Speech competition, we will be supported by Mr. Nicholson (Founder of British Toastmasters Club), Mr. Aan Prasetya (Champions of Toastmasters International Speech Contest Area Level in 2013, 2014, & 2015), & Ms. Yuna Lee (2nd Winner & Best Prepared Speech, Speech Competition, Asian English Olympics 2017).

Whilst for the Newscasting competition, the judges are well-known News anchors from reputable TV stations in Indonesia such as Metro TV and The Indonesia Channel.
